We continue to share baby news at Wentworth Point Public School. On Thursday 25 September, we farewell Mrs Mel Turk as she heads off on maternity leave to have her second baby. Mel has been working throughout 2025 as a release from face-to-face teacher with students K-6. We wish her all the best and look forward to sharing her exciting news next term. This will be baby number 7 for 2025 staff at Wentworth Point!
Thank you once again for your ongoing partnership and support. We look forward to a strong finish to Term 3 and an exciting start to Term 4!
Kind regards,

Dear Families and Friends,
Can you believe another term is already coming to an end? It has truly been a wonderful time of learning, connection and growth, with students embracing new challenges and celebrating many achievements along the way.
Week 10 is shaping up to be just as full of energy and joy, with plenty of exciting activities to round off a remarkable term together
2025 Book Fair
Thank you so much for your wonderful support of our Book Fair. Each session was filled with parents, friends and grandparents visiting, browsing and choosing from the wide range of books and items that sparked curiosity and creativity for our students across many different topics. It was such a joy to see the excitement in the children’s faces as they discovered new stories to take home and share with their families.
Because of your generous engagement, both in person and through online purchases, we have been able to raise just over $1000 in rewards for our school. These rewards will be used to purchase new books that will be added to our Library collection when our beautiful new Library reopens in 2026. We are so grateful for your support in helping us continue to build a love of reading in our school community

2026 Kindergarten Enrolment
If you have a child, or know a family in the Wentworth Point area, whose child has already turned five or will be turning five before 31 July 2026, we warmly invite you to begin the enrolment process. Our wonderful office staff are ready to provide families with an enrolment pack and answer any questions you may have.
We will be holding our Kindergarten Orientation program in November and are very excited to welcome the newest members of our school community. These sessions are a wonderful opportunity for children to explore their new school, meet some of our teachers and make their first friends. Parents will also have the chance to learn more about school life and connect with other families.
Enrolments can be completed in person at our school office, or you may choose to submit an online application through our school website Enrolment - Wentworth Point Public School. We look forward to sharing this special journey with you and welcoming your child to Wentworth Point Public School in 2026

I wish all our students and their families a happy, safe and healthy holiday break. I hope you find time to rest, enjoy some special moments together and make memories that bring joy. I am looking forward to seeing everyone back in Term 4 for another incredible term of learning.
Kind Regards,
Karosha Reddy

Dear Parents and Carers,
It’s been quite a term at Wentworth Point Public School! We’ve celebrated milestones, shared in special events, and learnt so much together. A huge thank you to everyone who joined us for our Book Parade and Family Picnic. The joy and energy on the day reflected the wonderful spirit of our community. We are also so grateful for your generosity; together, we raised over $1,600! These funds will go directly towards purchasing new texts for our library, which we’re excited to reopen next year. Keep your eye's out on Instagram and Facebook over the coming days as we will share some of our photos!
School Uniform
A quick reminder about uniforms - please ensure that your child’s clothing is clearly labelled with their name, as this helps lost items find their way back quickly. Wearing the full school uniform not only builds pride but also strengthens our sense of belonging. If you need support in obtaining a school uniform, please reach out via the front office and a reminder that our P&C regularly holds a second hand uniform shop.
Sun Safety
As we move into the warmer months, it’s more important than ever that every child wears their school hat and applies SPF50 sunscreen each morning. These simple steps protect children’s skin while they enjoy outdoor play and learning.
Homework - Term 3
Across the school, homework submissions are now due. I’ve already seen some fantastic efforts from Stage 1 students this week as they proudly entered the gates with their work - a real testament to the learning happening at home. I’m especially looking forward to Stage 2 and 3’s exciting designs for our future native garden and playground spaces. These open-ended learning experiences spark curiosity, engage students in meaningful, hands-on projects, and best of all, inspire rich conversations at home.
See you in a learning space or at the gates soon!
Kind Regards,
Dan Hall
Centaurus Love to Dance!

Centaurus have been enthusiastically participating in our weekly Footsteps Dance Program sessions. Students have loved exploring the fundamental elements of dance; dynamics, relationships, time, and space and applying these concepts in choreographed routines. This engaging program has not only enhanced their dance skills but also fostered creativity and collaboration within the group.
We look forward to seeing their continued growth and passion for dance!
Chipmunks Have Gone Crazy!
Huskies in Term 3
Voices United: Stage 2 Choir
Each Thursday, our Stage 2 Choir comes together to learn and sing a variety of songs. Students are developing their musical skills such as rhythm, tempo, pitch, and expression. Students have been singing together to help build teamwork, confidence, and a strong sense of belonging.
The choir is not only a chance to practise singing but also an opportunity to share joy, creativity, and school spirit. We have had the opportunity to perform at a couple of school events this year, including the Harmony Day assembly and Education Week performance. We are excited for the moments ahead when the Stage 2 Choir will showcase their voices and hard work once again at future school and community gatherings.

P&C Association is a group of volunteers who are parents at the school and members of the local community who want to support the school. The group is committed to supporting and working with the principal and staff to improve the learning experiences of all children. P&C holds meetings once every term of school. It is an informal gathering of parents, citizens, and some staff members where current and future plans for the school are discussed, and how P&C can work together to support and drive common interests related to the school. Members of the P&C committee provide updates and discuss ways to develop and build on a sense of belonging and connection.
